Whole lotta labia.
[how ya feelin'? |festive]

As we prepare for the holidays I am reminded of something my friend wizardglick said last year. For me it summed up the anticipation of the season, the minor (but exciting) worries, and the way that I always end up spending the last two days before Christmas.

"Ah yes, ups.com, where the happiest words in the world are 'Out For Delivery'."

My last package is on its way to me now. It's (I swear to God) a garden gnome for my mother. After that it's just wrapping and driving and eating so much fudge that I have to start storing it in my cheeks like a chipmunk. I know you're thinking "Melly.. you don't even *like* chocolate." Yes. That's true. But I'm not sure that the recipe on the back of the Marshmellow Creme jar counts as some kind of gourmet truffle.

In the spirit of the seaon, and rahalia_cat's friggin' *awesome* advent calendar entries this year, I give you my favorite Christmas story.

"David Sedaris - 6 to 8 Black Men"

Worth it entirely for the pronunciation of the word "tapas." HO HO HO, and Happy Solstice!

OK, I don't really remember, but that sounds like something I would say.

Just glad there's someone out there listening. :-)

I can't resist him, he just cracks me up. And I love this reading particularly, I can't help it, it's the way he says "Six to eight did ya say?!" I'm glad you liked it. :)
