Whole lotta labia.
[how ya feelin'? |productiveproductive]

Thing one: Oh, TV's Wil Wheaton, you make my heart go pitty-pat. Especially when you get all dorky in your dorkitude.

Thing two: Yay for my mother getting ballsy with the surgeon's office so they'd actually have someone knowledgable look at her graft and make sure it's not being rejected. However, boo for random craptastic infections which are keeping my Caitlin in the hospital. Grrr.

Thing three: It's above freezing! Woot! This means that the glacial mass covering the farm is slowly thawing and as a result I can park where I'm used to parking.. also the cows don't look *nearly* as pissed off as they did before. One of the reasons I love living on the farm is being around the animals, and that's not as fun when they look like they wish they could develop fingers just to flip you off as you go into your nice heated house.

Thing four: I am taking my ginormous gift cards to Old Navy and to Motherhood and I am going motherfucking shopping. My one pair of jeans that fits just stopped being comfortable. The rest of my wardrobe is still grand. No comments, please, from other mothers about how long they stayed in their pre-maternity clothes, I'm trying very hard to focus on my own progress and not compare myself to others for good or ill.

Thing five: The complete asshats at the chi-chi baby boutique that I ordered fabric from FINALLY called back (third time's the charm) and it turns out that my order was cancelled because they're out of that fabric. That would have been nice to know.. y'know.. ON THE 25TH OF JANUARY WHEN I ORDERED IT. *crankypants* Thankfully we've already picked out alternate fabric ( 1/3 the price, too) and all of the coordinating fabric. Quite pleased, really.

Thing six: Crib ordered! Go go gadget internet skilz! I found it on a website I liked. Then I found their "baby rooms" catalog online and was flipping through it. The link to the crib in the catalog? $100 cheaper. Huh. Shipping to my house? $173. Shipping to the store 10 miles away where my lovely husband will go pick it up? $40. I? Have mad skilz. When it comes it I'll look at other furniture and start sewing the bedding.

Thing seven: Our "boy/girl/platypus" ultrasound is scheduled for the 10th of March. Our "totally indulgent" 3D ultrasound is scheduled for May 5th. They allow you to have eight people in the room. Eight. Good God. If we get eight people in there I'm going to have to start making popcorn or something. Seriously, where are the women with eight other people that interested in their uterus?

Thing eight: My other symptoms are holding stead at "mildly irritating but not interrupting my sleep" which is the perfect place for them. Nose still stuffy, still not eating chicken if I can smell it, but looking forward to a trip to the pub with some of my favorite people (she's also pregnant, a week behind me) so we can eat actual real food instead of nearly gagging everytime something goes by us like we did at dinner last month.

That's all I've got. Lizzies, I'm thinking of you, and I miss your face.

Yup, and I am going to take some serious advantage of it. But I had a merchandise credit thingy that I couldn't use online, so I went in. I was successful and now own a pair of pants I can sit in without pain. Yay!

You are an evil evil man.

But see, I wouldn't be able to play because I have to lay there and be all still and gelled up and all. Hmm.. there must be away around this.

M I S S you much! (does anyone else remember that song)

I'm so thrilled for you! And believe it or not, I'd be extremely interested in seeing your 3-D ultra sound. Not asking or hinting to be invited or trying to put you on the spot -- just letting you know that it's something that I think more people than you think might want to see. First, because I haven't seen you in ages and I'm so excited for you, and second -- technology is COOOOOL. ...and its always fun to think "thank god that isn't me -- been there done that 17 years ago" (teehee hee... *grin*)

Please please please stay in touch --

Hi! :)

You're off the hook for actually coming to the u/s because (terrifyingly) we actually have 8 family members coming. I guess I'm going to be making popcorn. However, you're not off the hook for watching the DVD and hanging out. Pencil me in.

The technology really is cool. Admittedly, during the first few weeks I kept thinking "Ok... is this cool or creepy?" but the more this has progressed the cooler and less creepy the idea seems. We're waiting until after the 24th week, though. Before that the baby won't really have much in the way of fat deposits and will look just downright odd. The kid's going to be odd enough without starting off on the wrong foot.

And also? Why are all maternity clothes so ugly?

Wait.. your boy is 17? omg.. I feel so old. Laura, why you gotta be like that?

So, Tim and my Mother in law game to my sonogram. It was a wee bit uncomfortable for me just because I had to pull my pants waay down.

Also, I have a solo next weekend in choir. It's lovely, I got it last night.

Love it's face.

Our moms will both be at the one on the 10th, but Steve and I will start and then he'll go get them. I think the other one will involve all three sets of parents.
