Whole lotta labia.

  1. Weekend was fantastic. Enjoyed every minute except the 15 when we were sure the hurricane was headed our way and were contemplating exit plans. I even got to sleep with Chloe in my arms which I just adore. Home safe and sound, did laundry, cleaned house, ready for the week.

  2. They're repaving the gym parking lot which means I got a warmup just getting across the mall parking lot to the gym doors. Ah well, at least when I arrived I found they were back to their non-summer schedule which includes longer Kids Club hours. I generally don't like dropping TBD off in there, as it means there's time when she's awake and I'm not working and we could be doing something together but sometimes Steve and I like to get a Saturday workout in together and she likes the new toys. So.. that's nice.

  3. I have too much crap. I'm in the middle of a de-crapping of my house and life and it's really freeing. I tossed a bunch of old clothes (too ratty even for donating), did another pass through the books and movies, and took about half of TBD's small toys downstairs. In a month of so I'll bring them back up and take away the ones that are up here. She gets excited because she can't remember them and I haven't wasted money buying toys. Frankly, she's so totally tickled with everyday items like magazines and boxes of pasta that we really ought to donate the toys anyway.

  4. In an odd juxtaposition to the last thing, we got a box of clothes for TBD this past weekend as a gift from friends with a daughter older than TBD. I'd realized that I had reached the end of my pre-stocked clothes for her. Well, not the bitter end, I have some 12 and 18 month things, but nowhere near the volume of littler things I had and nothing for her to sleep in. The universe heard me make a deep sigh and plan some consignment sale trips and it sent me Amy and a box of clothes that were not only clean and cute but which I would have bought myself. In fact, some are bigger sizes of outfits I *did* buy for her when she was like 3 months. There were even red flannel jammies that TBD wore to bed on Saturday. Thanks, Universe!

And the last thing outside the cut: The gym is doing that thing again where they play slow music during the mornings. And they're messing with the volume. So I'm working on getting my own music together but I tend to listen to things that are not quite good for workouts (nothing says "maybe I don't have to run quite so fast" like The Push Stars' "Keg on my Coffin"). However, I tried some Podrunners and I hate them. So, anyone have any idea where to get pre-made upbeat workout mixes for those of us who can't stand house/techno/trance/industrial music?

How are you guys?

re: 4 and especially 5

DUDE, I know, I have too much stuff too. (Most of us probably do!) And doesn't it feel good to get rid of it?

And nice job, Universe! Pretty sweet of it!

I missed you so much this weekend. Saw Ani's pictures though and I love the one of you laughing.

As for music, I just put on all my upbeat stuff and get on with it.

There's something going on this weekend you might be interested in ... drop me a line, k?

I think I know what you're talking about, but we're kinda short a sitter and I'd want to bring ST so I think we're outta luck.

Yar, you think I'd tease you with this?

She does watch college football, yes? I'll just pick up an extra six-pack, and some extra canned nacho sauce.

Is all good.

Fargle ... well, I was hoping we could see you. And I thought maybe your Dad or Mom might watch her for the day.

Oh well. *kiss*

Sadly I think Mom's out of town and as much as I love my dad I don't really trust him with her when Trish isn't around. He doesn't hear well even with his hearing aids in and he misunderstands instructions pretty dramatically. He loves her, and they'd have a blast, but I'm not sure he'd remember to feed her. :)

I'm on the lookout for music too. How about Ishtar? I bet a lot of their stuff would work.

I feel you about the TMC (Too Much Crap). I'm at the point where there's so much that has to go, even Freecycle/Half-Price books/Craigslist seems like too much hassle. I just want to load it up into someone else's pick up and wave goodbye as it turns the corner.

I can throw together a box or two of little girl clothes. You need 12-18? or 18-24?
