Whole lotta labia.
Some things:

  1. The laptop? Fixed. Thank you little baby Jesus.

  2. The weather? Too warm for mid-October, but hey, I like having the windows open.

  3. My day? I'm thinking of doing a lot of cleaning in between client calls.

  4. My hair? I'm thinking of getting bangs again. I miss having some versatility to my style. It's a a length I love around the rest of the head but I think I want something going on around the face. Particularly as my face continues to unbiggen. Thoughts?

  5. ST says that guys have a thing where sometimes they just daydream about blowing stuff up. Like, they'll see a building and think about shooting it with a rocket-propelled grenade launcher and seeing it go up in flames. He finds it amazing that my brain doesn't have any odd quirks like this. I found one! When I'm wondering about something in my head I always ALWAYS end up thinking of it in terms of the best possible Google search terms instead of complete questions. You?

  6. My cookbooks are flagged with color-coded post-it flags. Yellow for chicken dishes I want to try, purple for pork and beef, blue for fish, green for veggie, pink for side dish or dessert. Recipes we've tried and loved enough to do again are flagged in orange. This way if I have a package of chicken and need inspiration I can go straight to the yellow flags. I really don't see a damn thing wrong with this.

Hi, happy Friday.

I think about blowing stuff up. o.o Maybe it's too much Mythbusters, or listening to Matt's tales of adolescent shenanigans involving golf ball guns and mayonnaise cannons.

I also see the world in terms of camera angles and LJ icons.

Nah, I sometimes have that Mythbusters effect where I look at something's safety mechanisms and wonder what would happen if I disabled them. :D

LJ icons eh? Genius! Speaking of? Your icon for the win.

O_O
Best idea I've ever heard. You are my queen.

Seriously? I always thought it made me all anal retentive and silly. Plus, it can be a little overwhelming seeing this shelf of cookbooks bristling with this kind of furry rainbow of flags. But so handy, omg!

"ST says that guys have a thing where sometimes they just daydream about blowing stuff up."

oh yeah ... I am totally with that theory ... and sometimes, when I'm in a really evil mood, not only can I imagine blowing up the building, but then can put faces to the screaming burning victims as they run through the glass to their deaths ... and it makes me smile

does that make me bad?

No, that makes you fun to hang around. :D

ST says the other thing that happens is that after a few hours of shooting SCA combat archery he finds himself imagining everything as a target and timing the perfect moment to shoot. So we'll be driving home and he'll be looking at the mile-marker sign thinking "not yet... not yet... NOW!"

I love you guys. :)

Me not so much

with the blowing stuff up- that would be accompanied by noise... which btw, I just can't tolerate anymore. Fourth of July - not for me - too loud. I don't know when it happened but I am so not happy with noise.

The color coding - brilliant idea - mind if we borrow?

Those of us who happen to have widows peaks on our hairline agree wholeheartedly that bangs are a wonderful thing indeed :)

All hail the Melli!

Re: Me not so much

I've just never been so excited by explosions. With the exception of building demolitions which I find interesting just for the physics involved in implosion rather than explosion.

Borrow all you want! I always thought it made me overly persnickity but it doesn't take any more time than turning down the page and it's so much easier later. In reality, it's a mark of how lazy I am because I'd rather look anal now than spend half an hour flipping through flagged recipes trying to find a chicken one.

I'mma go find one of those hairstyle simulators and try on bangs. :D

Y'all are making me feel so much better. I pulled a pile of cookbooks out of my bedroom this morning in preparation for cleaning and I'd seen them all stacked up and marked and felt just really silly because whenever anyone asks "What's up with the colors?" and I tell them they just stare at me. But you guys either accept me and ♥ me for how I am, or you're just as anal. :D

(edited to change to the most appropriate icon)

I have flags, but they aren't as awesomely colour-coded as yours. I just have flags for "HEY LOOK AT THIS PAGE".

"Blow Up" in a good way, not in a Bill Ayers way.

I'd like to point out that I don't actually HAVE a rocket launcher these days, more's the pity.
