There's a guy works down the chipshop swears he's Elvis... [Oct. 24th, 2003|12:42 pm]
Whole lotta labia.
No matter what I listen to today (and it's run the Marillion - Candide - Ella Fitzgerald gamut) I'm going to have that Kirsty MacColl song stuck in my head.

In light of the fact that the Friday Five has gone on holiday this week, I picked one from their archives... roughly this time back in 2001.

October 19, 2001 Friday Five

1. What's the best gift you've ever received?

Oh. Ummm. There are a few.. my father got me a set of Henkels as a housewarming present.. the mattses got me a multi-tool I'd been lusting after for our anniversary... MDC got me SportsSheets which I was then able to wear to a completely buggered-up toga party.. and last week someone got me two more months on LJ.. that rocked. :)

2. What's the worst?

Oooh.. toughie.. the year my dad got me a bathrobe (a BATHROBE???).. or when I turned 21 and he gave me socks. Nothing says "You're old enough to drink now!" quite like.... socks.

3. What do you want for Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa this year?

DVDs. Specifically: Jim Henson's "Storyteller" episodes are all out on one DVD.. with extras. Oh my hemorrhaging hell... I'll be so good, Santa. I'll eat my peas... honest.. just.. Puhleeeeeeze?

Oh, and GBS's concert/video DVD. Sean McCann. Yummsies.

4. As far as Holiday shopping goes, do you buy throughout the year or do it last-minute?

A little of both. I got my brother's present already, it's the Sloth Loves Chunk t-shirt from Goonies. My problem is that I buy things meaning to give them for Christmas and then I can't help but give them early. So yes, I shop throughout the year, and then I have to shop all over again in December. :)

5. How do you plan to spend your weekend?

Cleaning the house, moving the furniture, Nanowrimo launch party, fighter practice.

And now, if you'll pardon me, this day needs coconut macaroons. And tea.
