Whole lotta labia.
[how ya feelin'? |infuriatedinfuriated]

I... just... I can't even... Goddammit this is why I'm happy without a TV. How did I not know this piece of horrifying crap was out there? People probably watched that, didn't they? How terribly sad.

I saw part of an episode and started to cry, so I just tuned away.

Whatever happened to helping people accept themselves for who and what they are? No, now you just fill out an application, go on some show and make a spectacle of your neuroses, and the producers will throw 300K of plastic surgery at you as if that will solve all of your problems.

Not even getting into the thing about why we shouldn't all look like Barbie™.

It is a sad and scary world sometimes M.

I just wanted to kidnap them all. A world without mirrors, a fine idea, 151 medical procedures split over 12 women? Horrifying.

*shudder*

I saw part of an episode. It was utterly horrifying and completely depressing. These poor women were expecting that everything in their lives (failing marriages, bad relationships with family) would be suddenly, magically better after a little plastic surgery.

People must have watched, though, because it's being brought back for another season.

It was the "therapy" and "life coaching" that really did it for me. Acres of cardio and weights and rhinoplasty aren't going to fix some poor woman's abandonment issues. I know lots and lots of beautiful women who are utterly destroyed on the inside. Pretty doesn't make you happy. But frequently happy makes you beautiful. Sadly, we'll never see that show.

I was so sad for them... the therapy was a fine plan but.. therapy and three months of recovery from plastic surgery? Breaks my heart.

You must not have been paying attention, because even I had heard of this one.

This culture is sick.
