Whole lotta labia.
[how ya feelin'? |hungryhungry]

1: The Bob Dylan Show featuring Bob Dylan and his band w/ Willie Nelson and Family & The Hot Club of Cowtown August 12 Oh you rat bastards. That's right. Pick a dream line-up of headliners and then throw Hot Club of Cowtown on there and make it the one time every year I'm on vacation. *sob* (and the first one of you who mocks my Willie Nelson love will be beaten and then made to listen to him sing Blue Skies)

2: I hate that I had to see it with my office instead of Erinn and Matt and Cait and fun people, but that was a great game. The Yankees fans in front of us left to watch the last four innings in a bar somewhere deep inside the stadium. I can't blame them. I'm not an O's fan, but I was proud to see my local team do well.

3: Baseball makes me manly. I left that game and I swear to God all I wanted to do was go to a tittie bar, have a beer, and eat some pussy. I settled for taking the 20min. walk back to my car at a pretty good clip and soaking up the waterfront atmosphere. That helped slap my hormones around. But I still would have done bad things to Matt's anatomy had he not already been asleep when I got home.

4: Despite their best efforts, every picture put up on the jumbo-tron that was meant to help you put a face to the person down there batting just made them look like the generation just before them was using flint tools and not walking upright. Poor fellas.

Instead of walking to Fells Point or hanging out in the office I threw my sneakers on and my workout clothes in my bag and walked to the gym in the Inner Harbor. It's about halfway between my office and the ballpark and it turned out to be a great idea. I had time for my usual elliptical workout so I did that and took a shower and then walked through the warm sunshine to the park while munching on a bagel leftover from an earlier meeting. 9pts for the bagel and the cream cheese, and certainly not the healthiest option, but much healthier than anything I'd have been tempted to grab in the park and not a huge dent in my Flex Points.

This morning we overslept by about five minutes.. enough to throw our routine off so instead of upper body weights with my cardio I just did a longer cardio. 35min. on the elliptical and a nice long shower.

I've got lunch planned and dinner planned and just need to swing into the Whole Foods for pitas and then I'm set. It's not naan, but it'll do. I'm taking veggies and salsa to the bad movie night on Friday and stopping at Subway on the way. It's a nice filling dinner but not so high in pts. that I can't afford to splurge a little on what's on the table. (Must remember to pack protein bar to keep me from stopping at McD's on the way back.)

Saturday is a little scary since we'll have the bratling and Matt's parents are going to be there all day but ... breakfast is under my control, I can do pasta salad or seafood for lunch and that's low points.. I get to hit the gym.. and Matt's stepmother knows I'm doing this so she'll be pretty understanding. As for dinner, I'm not stupid, I know how to eat out. Thanks for listening to me talk myself in from the ledge. :)

Sunday? Cakewalk. Breakfast, gym, fighter practice, seafood on the grill.

That being said, it's breakfast time. Also? I'm listening to Matchstick Men on audio book and I'm enjoying it.. but I get the feeling I'm being set up for a fall and that's irking me.

So how are my lovelies?

ETA: Goddamn it I *knew* it. I called this four chapters ago. I just wish it didn't still piss me off so bad.

Re: :D

Well, I suspect there's probably some lip action involved to (I say as though I've never done it) so let's say tongue & lips. ;)

The Orioles won?

Pardon me while I faint from joy. *faints*

Hooray! Embarrassing the Yankees is a time-honored tradition in Baltimore that doesn't happen nearly often enough.

I particularly liked the part where the Oriole's first base coach caught one of the Yankees' foul balls .. in his hat. With this air like "Oh, was this yours?" My big boss is a Yankees fan and she was just dying.

That? Is a priceless, priceless moment. Wow. I am never that nonchalant and cool. I wish I was. (I also wish I was the first base coach for the Orioles, but that is another can of worms altogether.)

Derek went 0-4 with a strikeout and 1 LOB.

The only thing that makes that acceptable is that A-Rod
was 0-3 with a strikeout and 2 LOB.

Hey, Sir Sidney is pitching tonight, and they're showing the game on Canadian TV!! Yay!

And, wait for the highlights on the weekend: The O's will continue the celebration of their 50th anniversary with a "Turn Back the Clock" weekend commemorating the 1960s Saturday and Sunday against the Braves.

Yes.. I hesistated to mention the performance of your Mr. Jeter but.. it wasn't pretty. (Like I have half a clue what I'm talking about) But it was fun... I'd forgotten how much I like live baseball. I'm not an on-tv sports gal .. not for any sport.. and even my live tastes are limited.. but I do love baseball when you're right there in the stands.

And we had fantastic seats.. about 15 rows back from the field along the 3rd baseline.

Yeah, Derek's not having a very good season so far. You don't need to mince words. :)

I blame A-Rod. He's messing with Derek's vibe - Derek's scared of losing his position at short, his captain status, his boyfriend, etc.
