Whole lotta labia.
[how ya feelin'? |cheerfulcheerful]

Good morning my little love nuggets. First, I am pleased to bring you:

The weekend included lots of bad food decisions and lots of good exercise. A 6 hour hike probably cures a multitude of sins, but I doubt it actually made up for the half order of BBQ chicken potato skins I felt I deserved. Or the stout that went with them. Ah well. Done now. Yesterday I had a good hour of cardio at the gym but just couldn't bring myself to do weights. I know it was being tired from the trip and just not having the oompf but that's a bad thing.. focusing too much on the cardio and not enough on the weights takes my mind away from the whole body experience and makes it just about calories and weight.. bad bad bad. Anyway, dinner was good, chicken thighs cooked in beer and shrooms.. with wild rice and spinach salad. I had a little too much, but it was wonderful.

This morning was 35min. of cardio, most at level 7 which is quite good. Sadly no weights today either because I realized about 15min. in to the cardio that I'd left my lunch at home and would have to spend the weight time going back to get it. Ah well. It's better that I go back than lift weights and have to buy lunch that might sink my efforts.

The scale is down but not as much as I'd have liked. Still, what can you ask for with a week away in which I apparently thought that an entire medium pizza counted as lunch. (Dude, and it wasn't even GOOD pizza. I was robbed.)

Tonight is Subway and dollar-draft night, tomorrow is weigh-in and ... what? I'm looking forward to my oatmeal and my lunch and getting back in the swing of things.

I got a decent amount of work done yesterday on the packing efforts. I'm going to move all the garb into the living room and pack the big duffel bag tonight after the bar. I've got Saturday coming up to finish my dress, finish packing, get my hair cut, that kind of thing.. Sunday coming up is my mother's birthday, every year it comes right as I'm getting ready for Pennsic and every year I shake my fist and go and am glad of the break.

This morning as I went back to the house to get my lunch the mist was just lifting off the pond and the field across the way.. a few of the native geese were taking off, moving over to the back pasture to harrass the cows, no doubt. As I drove down the driveway they flew over the hood of my car in this gorgeous moment of physics and magic and I was reminded that sometimes it's good to slow down, take it easy, and enjoy the moment... because if I'd been driving faster that front one would have shit down my sunroof instead of on the driveway.

Just saying.

How are you guys?

I'm bored already, Melly. What's up with that?

Our Marketing Director is having a screaming fit in the conference room right now. What's up with that, also?

Can I go to sleep under your desk, please? *curls up*

*sprinkles anti-boredom dust*

My suggestion is that you go into the conference room when he's done and start screaming for no reason. Then go to lunch.

What?

*makes room under the desk* (and while you're down there... *leer*)

Well, it's a little early for lunch, but I just took my third cigarette break of the day. I think it's going to be a smoky sort of day.

And I'm writing Cate/Miranda. So that should occupy me somewhat. I hope.

You should join me under the desk so we can snog. It'll be way better than working, I promise.

Um, things are good.

Since getting my computer I've been marinating in porn.

I'm not yet sure if this is a good thing.

Also, I found a cool new band and was hit on (maybe? Kind of? He kissed my cheek. I wanted to shag him in the alley. I figure cheek kissing was acceptible. Face cheek, by the by.) by a Webb Brother.

My apartment is still a wreck and Aragorn is still living in my trunk.

I'm good.

Oh, I covered them in my lj on Saturday.

They're called Volcano! I'm Still Excited, based out of New York. A drummer, a synth-guy, and an accountant on guitar, they all sing so no one's really the frontman, though synth-guy is probably the busiest. The sound is sort of... um... Ben Folds Five meets Moxy Fruvous meets some asyet indefinable something. Love. Them.

And can I just say, I'm so porned-up right now that I can't think straight? Is all Min's fault. Somehow.

oy! my head hurts. how long do you think my tiny little caffeine habit is going to punish me now that I'm trying to give it up?

Other than that, I'm ok. I ate breakfast from my menu plan, and brought my lunch and snacks o' goodness, even though I was invited to go to a new restaurant by a coworker. *flexes*

So, this chicken thighs seethed in beer thing. recipe, precious girl? please?

The caffeine thing will continue to kick your ass slowly for about a week.

I'm happy that the program seems to be working for you, I know it's not easy, but when you get in the swing of things it gets easier. :) The beer braised chicken thighs is actually a WW recipe, I'll put together all the ones I've cooked recently and send them. I think you'll like it.. was really good with wild rice and fresh sourdough rolls.

:D We do what we can.

Seriously, though. I was taking it slow because they've had the goats out lately and then the geese went up and I was like "Wow.. so pretty.. so graceful.. so- WHOA! That one just let loose while he was flying! Man I'm glad I was going this slow." And then I giggled. Because of poop. I'm four.
