An embarrassment of riches... [Dec. 15th, 2004|11:51 am]
Whole lotta labia.
[how ya feelin'? |lovedloved]

I buggered out of the office at around 2 yesterday. A delightful decision.

About 4pm I heard a honking and looked out the window. A UPS truck? What was coming from UPS? My birthday present from my father, that's what. New running shoes. And they are so beautiful. I'm going to wear them on my afternoon workout and I'm so excited. :)

Also... Oh Molly, how gorgeous is my bracelet? I love it so much! I love how it catches the light and how the beads feel under my fingers. Thank you so much sweetheart.. you are far too good to me.

Speaking of "too good to me" .. Caitlin made me earrings.. both turtle and silly and I'm wearing the turtle ones today. *pets them*

I am, truly, the luckiest Melly ever. :) I wish I could repay it all in kind.. and all the other kindnesses you've all given me this year... rest assured that as long as I'm employed you're all getting MASSIVE Easter presents... or something. ;)

I'm feeling better.. MUCH better. I think the flying messed up my sense of equilibrium and as my head clears out the dizziness is fading. Good thing, too. My dance instructor is letting me make up last night's class with one of her classes tonight. Beforehand I'm heading to the mall to grab our Christmas pictures and my mother's last present and then... well then I'll be over halfway done with my shopping. My immediate family will be done, Matt's father will be done. That leaves Matt's stepmother, stepsister, and one last gift for someone else. Then it's time for my favorite part: The wrapping. I have, it must be said, MAD wrapping skilz.

I will tell you, I'm listening to Sedaris again. After last night's indulgence I'm finding him the perfect antidote to stupid office politics. The end of his bit about trying to explain Easter in his beginning French class? Still makes me laugh so hard I can't be drinking during it. Here's the link. It's the 12/24 show, click on the RA logo and he's about.. oh.. 47 minutes in.
