So... um... right. How does this thing work again?

Due to a certain level of corporate suckness I've been coming in to the office by 7:30 or 8 each morning this week. This and the fact that I didn't start feeling human again until Monday morning when the antibiotics really kicked in means that I haven't worked out in.. oh.. a while. Since the work thing is liable to be an issue for the forseeable future I've given myself this week to see how the schedule settles out and then I'm going to try to fit the gym in where I can and when I can. I'm also going to do non-gym workouts. Runs much earlier (as the gym doesn't open until 5:30 and I can't make it in there, work out, shower, and be done and on the road and to work on time.. plus, I like seeing Matt off in the morning and I'm not willing to give that up and it happens at 6:30. So if I can run before then that's fine with me.), yoga and dancing later, the gym on the nights I can make it.. perhaps a supplemental membership to the tiny gym near the office if I can make it.. I can spare a little extra per month and it would be possible to do that at lunch. Anyway.. I'm giving myself a week to see what the schedule really looks like and going from there.

I'd like to say that in the mean time I'm eating well.. and that is mostly true. I'm eating fairly sensibly but haven't been writing things down as well as I should have. The nice thing is that with work so nuts I'm not finding myself like "Hmmmm.. I wonder what there is to eat" but more often "Hmm.. how did it get to be 4:30?" I think I'm looking at a small loss tomorrow as long as I don't torpedo myself tonight. Fingers crossed. And today? Writing things down.

Non-work life continues apace. I got to have breakfast with the Bratling on Sunday as well as spending Saturday with Caitlin doing.. well.. not at all what we'd planned but a delightful day anyway.

I've made my pre-pennsic sewing list and it's not as scary as I thought. Some shirts for a friend, some cold-weather gear for me and Matt, and a few fun new dresses. I need to get my choli finished and some extra dance pants but that'll come.

I've been a bit real-life overwhelmed lately, my apologies for being so quiet. I've been reading everything and trying to comment and.. well.. I've missed you. I really have. I'll tell you that I totally fucked off yesterday and instead of doing anything productive with my evening Matt and I watched four straight hours of Babylon 5. I don't feel the least bit bad about it. *gives to-do list the finger*

Oh.. and this morning I heard that Anne Bancroft died. My favorite thing she did? Holly Hunter's mother in "Home for the Holidays", which just.. still.. it's so true it hurts sometimes. She was a right classy broad. And when the radio played "Mrs. Robinson" I sang along really quite loud and showy.

How are you all?
