Whole lotta labia.

[what's in my ear |Jack Johnson - Good people]

It's been roughly eighteen years since my last update. I feel bad about that. But.. eh. Sometimes life works like that.

So far I've been to the gym every day this week. I seriously considered fucking off yesterday but went anyway and that was for the best as I'd spent Tuesday eating foods that were really less foods in their own right and more salt conduits. I felt all bloated and yukky. Anyway. That's the general consensus so far.. bloated and yukky. Food still isn't where it should be but the gym is back where it should be and I have Ronnie and Molly and all you lovelies to keep me inspired. It's back to meetings with Lala tomorrow and that should help get me back on track too. My problem lately has been getting water instead of soda. Partually that's due to my lovely water bottles being all manky. I should go fix that after lunch.

I did good weights and cardio on both Monday and Tuesday and then yesterday I did a full cardio day with an hour of running at a nice slow pace. Still, got the sweat up, that's what matters. Today should be cardio and upper body weights. I should be able to do that with no worries.

My training session is Saturday morning, I'm really really looking forward to that. :)

I got to hang out with my mommy on Friday night and Saturday and.. really.. there's no substitute for good Mommy time. And also? I got to play in a kitchen.

Let me tell you, if you're ever planning an invasion of any kind, might I suggest you have kfitzwarin run it. My last feast cooking experience was this chaotic blur. This time? I had tasks, purposes, and missions. I never stood around with my thumb up my ass unless I needed a break and if that was the case she had enough people to take over. A four course meal for 456 people went off with barely a hitch and certainly no hitch immediately visible to the eating public. And I found my phone!

Fearless Leader put herself in a central spot with the master list and spent the rest of the day calmly directing everyone and ensuring a feast that was on time, fantastic, plentiful, and all the right temperature (the cold ham was cold, the hot pies were hot). She wasn't cooking things herself which was so wonderful because it meant you never felt like you were interrupting her or being a nuisance and the erasable sharpie markers were a stroke of genius. I had an absolute blast and let me just say, K, you can count on an extra set of hands for any feast you do.

And now? I'm trying to make it from one side of this day to the other. Cait.. we're theoretically getting a Lala tonight.. do you have dinner thoughts or should we discuss?

It is, and now I'm all bouncy. :)

I've been reading everything and trying to reply but I just hadn't gotten up the energy to post. And this morning I was like "must post!"

Feast was double-D delightful. Well-timed, well-served, and yummy to boot. I ate whole hog (felt that way anyway).

I'm so glad you liked it! We had such a blast cooking it. Lots of laughing and hanging out and just enough excitement to keep us all from being bored without having enough to burn down the kitchen. AND! I got ham with savory toasted cheese for my dinner. :)

Plus I got to use my McGuyver skills when we ran short on pie crust. So lie to me and tell me that the pear pie your table got was gorgeous and didn't look like it had been rolled out with an empty beer bottle... just... theoretically.

Oh no, our table's pie was too big and the crust was too buttery and flaky, and it wasn't the usual sickening sweetness, and (ok I am lying to cover the fact that I ate a quarter of our table's pie, then took one home, eeerrrp...)

Verdict: beer-bottle-rolled crust not totally offputting. I win at crisis recovery!

>>So far I've been to the gym every day this week.

Oooh! Oooh! Me Too! Me Too! Actually, twice even on Tuesday (needed an excuse for a steam and a hot-tub).

I've started going in the mornings before work, it's working out very well, at least for this week. We'll see if I can keep it up for the next couple of weeks.

As for food, I just had a freezer-section pot-pie, and now I'm enjoying some Doritos.

Tomorrow - Legs.

I'm supposed to go today but I know I'm going both Saturday and Sunday and my legs are KILLING me. So I think I might do some yoga when I get home and give myself a day off.

And I do mornings too. If I don't, it doesn't get done. Plus if I go before I eat it tends to make my food better for the rest of the day.

That was my thinking. First thing in the morning is the only way to make sure it doesn't get rescheduled into oblivion. And, if I don't get anything else accomplished later in the day, I have at least done that.

I'm going every weekday morning for a few weeks to get myself in the habit, but I'm not doing very challenging workouts, hopefully to avoid wearing myself out too soon.

But, my body is still getting used to the whole schedule change thing.
