*laughs* yes. always. i use to have the lp. omg i listened it it over and over.
I remember it being bad but.. whuff. Still, Michelle's skin rather makes up for it, doesn't it? She's all glowy.
My confession? I used to totally wear my cloak and try to duplicate that look from under the hood she has on the cover. *blush*
Dude. It's Alan Parsons. (without his project) Truly, the only thing I'd change about the film is the score.
I can't believe how much of the dialogue I remember by heart. This is terrifying. I'm sure I'm missing something vital because of it. I've no idea what my blood type is but I know most of Rutger's lines. *facepalm*
*giggles* Reeeeelly bad! And still a really great movie!
Calvin.. fer serious.. I keep wanting to throw horns and headbang.
*sporfle* Right there with you. So bad it almost adds charm, like a puppy who's so ugly he's cute!
And you know if anyone else tries to make fun of it you're like "My puppy is adorable! And this music rocks!"
LOL. Hey! I like that music!
Me too... in this "Wow, I miss Jr. High" sort of way. ;)
What I really miss is HOW OMG CUTE MATTHEW BRODERICK WAS! I just want to pinch his cheeks!
Matthew Broderick was cute, but I was always all about my ♥Captain Etienne Navarre♥. Rutger Hauer used to be HAWT OMG.
Did you ever watch Freakazoid? LOL did you see the one with the baddie named Invisibo? Freakazoid was always saying Invisibo like the evol Bishop of Aquila said "Is-a-beau". None of my friends got why I was laughing my ass off! XD The inside jokes in that show were almost as good as Animaniacs.
Hi, i just had such a laugh at this post which popped up on my friends/friends list...
*zooms in at random*
It takes a lot to beat the craptastic-ness of the Sharpe soundtrack! I bought some of the dvds for christmas and put them on all tingly with anticipation - then the music started and i was all wtf??
*zooms out again*
Dood! Look at your icon! They are so cute and such dorks. Especially in their Dork Hats.
I had the same reaction to Sharpe. I'd somehow put it all into this soft-focus gorgeousness with nothing but Bean's butt and the lovely folk tunes sung while marching. Then the music started up and I was like "Who put on the Vangelis?"
As I was posting here I realised I had no Sharpe-age icons. I figured those two would have to do!
I believe so, yes.
The music of the 80's was either awful or fantastic. It was the decade after the 70's, after all...
It was just.. oh it was like a headbanging flashback. My neck hurts just hearing it.
such a pretty movie! I never thought about the score, though. maybe that's a good thing?
HI MELLY. *lovesquish*
Hello Gorgeous.. oh I've missed you and missed you.
Etienne Navarre and whatever-Matthew-Broderick's-character-was-called and Ysabeau and romance and angst and woe and happy endings!
*crushes movie to bosom*
yes. the movie? excellent. the score? almost as good as Hawk the Slayer. (which is a craptastic Old Skool fantasy movie AND craptastic score.)
The opening credits started up and I was just like "Dood... I *so* do not remember this.."
Still, I got all weepy at the end anyway. ;)
