Whole lotta labia.
[how ya feelin'? |jubilantjubilant]

After poking around on the interwebs on Friday until long after my boss was expecting me to leave I drove out to lalartu and cussata's place. The rain was awful and so it took forever. I finally got out there at 9pm. They were busy with what looked like a fun project (I'm still disappointed that they finished so fast I didn't get to run the sander) and so I stayed out of the way and looked up fun recpies for Sunday and then we curled up with some Coupling (it's like legalized sex!) before I just crashed.

Saturday morning I finally crawled out of bed around 10:45. I'm really OK with that. Really. C- and I lolled around in the kitchen and headed out to the gym around 2pm. Sadly I had a small blood-sugar/sick/tired issue and crashed really hard after only about 20 minutes. I walked for another ten and then we just went home. I got some food in me and perked right up. C- and I did a marathon grocery trip to the fabulous Wegmans where I fell in love with the olive bar and tried not to actively hump the prepared foods section.

There was sushi for dinner, Romeo + Juliet on the teevee, and baking baking baking.

Sunday morning I slept in again, not as late this time, and headed off to the gym first thing. I got a great hour and 15 minutes worth of cardio in and some very nice tricep/ bicep work before heading home. At which point I hit the ground running doing food stuff. I *love* making food for parties, and helping out made me feel less like I was taking advantage of everyone else's free time. I did little salmon/cream cheese sandwiches on brown bread, cucumber sandwiches, little things with radishes and these lovely turkey/apricot dealies. They were great. kfitzwarin came with tarts and my mother brought pesto squares and the lovely make_your_move brought a tea pot and actual English tea! bittibuddha showed up early with huge bundles of flowers and her shining smile (and outrageously gorgeous shoulders and upper back.. *jealous*). I felt like such a princess and absolutely showered with love.

There were mimosas (yay! Thanks, wilfulcait!), and laughing, and pictures, and just the most thougtful gifts in the entire world. Having that group there just made all the stress melt away. Even the stress of wearing the bows in my hair. Thank you to everyone, Cait for organizing and Courtney for hosting, and Mym, Ani, and Keilyn for all the gorgeous goodies and flowers, and to Alex for not saying "bugger all this" and turning around when she got the flat tire.

I took off (while people were still doing the dishes *cringe*) and got to ST's around 9, whereupon I threw myself at him and told him how much I'd missed him. Three days is just too long. His mother showed me pictures she had from the shower and we talked about her knitting projects and other stuff.

This morning I skipped the gym in favor of going home and getting some stuff done around the house. I've got plans to hit the gym at lunch. We'll see how that works out.

How are you guys?

I'm wishing there were about 5 more hours in the day. Other than that, I'm stoked that it's about to rain and wash all the ragweed out of the air. \o/

Working late. Silly people want more silly reports.

Have you ever read Night, by Elie Wiesel? I'm supposed to read it for my book club, but can't bring myself to do it.
