Whole lotta labia.
|[||how ya feelin'?
The State of the Melly: I am sick as a damned dog. I spent seven hours yesterday trying to read one West Wing recap and fitfully napping. Right now I'm getting down some oatmeal and listening to Steve (who has the day off thanks to snow and ice and pussified bus drivers.. not that I'm complaning or arguing their logic) who is entertaining himself by playing all the Calls for Cthulhu he can find on YouTube. God bless the internet.
I have no idea how the awards went last night, and I don't really care, all I want is for Go Fug Yourself to get cracking on the cranky snark, it'll make me feel better.
How are you guys?
I didn't even realize the Oscars were last night. Whups.
L was telling me about this go fug yourself place.... never heard of and am afraid once I do go look, I will be addicted...won't i?
Um.. almost immediately. But you should do it anyway. :)
The snark is usually so well-meant, and well-deserved, that you can't help but enjoy it.
Go.. go now! :D
*clutches it to bosom*
ST was all "What are you cackling at, ya harridan?"

He he. Brand Gamblin here. Good to find out that my little green plush god can make so useful a distraction. We're still working on Episode 4, and I'm hoping to be done in the next week.
If you're in the Baltimore area then yeah, those bus drivers are total pusses. That was just a sprinkling. I couldn't even get a decent snowman built.
I'm wondering, though. Where do you find West Wing recaps? I'm a huge Sorkin fan, and I'd love to find that.
The easy answer first: Recaps for The West Wing (as well as all the shows you either love but occasionally get irked with, or are embarrassed to admit you watch) can be found here: Television Without Pity
. West Wing and other sadly departed shows can be found under "Other Shows" in the Show dropdown list. They're also recapping Sorkin's latest, Studio60, bless it's poor doomed heart.
The videos this morning gave me the laugh I needed to deal with the invading armies of germs I've got going on. Steve, of course, practially peed down the inside of his pants. You know the bit about how the nerds on the internet will argue about the correct pronunciation? He's not quite there, but he's close. We're expecting our first rugrat, he's already planned a Cthulhu costume for it's first Halloween. We had our first near-fight about whether or not the plush figure he brings out at Christmas is a Cthulhu (his position) or a garden-variety octopus (my position). I think the fact that it's wearing a Santa hat and plays "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" should be an argument in my favor. He countered that the Old Ones are wily and clever.
So.. thank you, very much, for making a nerd and his girl very happy. Enjoy the recaps and let's hope the next snow is an honest-to-Bob dumping.

Cool! Looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do. I have a tendency to treat all of Aaron Sorkin's work as sublime, so it's kinda cool to hear a cynics point of view.

Yeah, the show could really be great if it could just dump the love stories and stop trying to make us like Sarah Paulson. I mean, she's obviously a good dramatic actress, but no amount of Dolphin Girl is going to make me think she's a comedienne.
>> The videos this morning . . .
Thank you, it's always so refreshing to hear that there really are people who like the show.

Congrats! And when you get that costume done, send us a pic (Cthulhu.Hotstud1413@gmail.com). I'd love to put it on the air. We're getting so many pictures from people that I'm going to have to make a "Cthulhu's Mailbag" segment for Episode 5. Hopefully, we'll still be making shows by the time your little critter has his first Halloween.
