Whole lotta labia.
|[||how ya feelin'?
From a message board I sometimes frequent (I cheat on you guys, it's true):
So I'm at work & I just answered the phone. The lady on the other end says "This is Officer X w/ the State Police, my I speak to **insert co-wokers name**?" I say I'm sorry she's out of the office at a meeting. Officer so-and-so replies with "I know she is, because she's parked in the Governors parking spot at the capital and she needs to move her car."
Messageboard girl offers the coworker's cellphone number, hangs up, and laughs her butt off. I have to admit, I would have too.
The walls are done, the baseboards are done, one door is completely done. Left to do:
- Untape closet door
- Bundle up that dropcloth and toss
- Finish taping room door frame
- Two coats on room door frame
- Untape door frame
- Pull up that dropcloth
- Small brush touch-ups on baseboards
- Do little dance
It'll take me a little bit of time tonight and a little bit of time tomorrow morning, but I'm pleased with the progress and thrilled to be able to see the end of this project.
I ironed the edges of the cushion pockets this morning, I brought the curtain fabric in to work with me tonight so I can pin it while sitting in the doctor's office tonight. I want to be done with these projects so that I can move on to the banners. And I want to be done NOW.
Last night was v. productive. I got the kitchen swept and swiffered. It needs going over with something stronger than a swiffer to get the suff marks off but it's a vast improvement. I blasted through all of my laundry, cleaned off the dining room table, and tidied up the bedroom just a bit.
Tonight: Clean next to my bed, finish laundry, pre-wash sling fabrics, measure walls for banners/shelves/etc, sew on patch pockets, put the extra shelf on that ikea shelf so it'll quit torquing quite so bad, go through the extra bags of fabric, cut down the box for the changing table. If I get even half of those done I'll feel better.
Today I have to list the leftover leaves from the wedding on eBay, answer a request for an ebay thing, and actually work some. Bastards.
I'm just... I'm tired. I want to be done with the painting and done with the sewing so I can focus on the fun stuff like the banners and deciding where the furniture goes and stuff. And so I can focus on spending my evenings resting. I only have a few more weeks of being able to work like this, I know it, and after that I'm going to have to save my energy for work. I'm trying to get enough stuff done so that I don't have to build the "This needs to get done/This can wait" list because.. y'know.. wait until when!?
I'm looking forward to WP this weekend, I just wish I'd gotten more stuff done that I could work on by hand. Maybe I'll pack the sewing machine and spend some time in the barn. Now there's a weird concept. On the other hand, maybe I'll just pack some books and say "fuck it."
For now, I'm going to stop boring you guys and go to Ikea and pick up extra bolts. Mmmm.. Ikea....
