Whole lotta labia.

When last we spoke I was worried about jobs, daycare, and The Big Thing.

Yesterday, at around 2 ST called to say that he'd been offered the local job he really wanted. Like.. REALLY wanted. It's not as local as it could be, but it'll cut his commute time easily in half and maybe more. He'll be teaching high school again instead of middle school and he'll be teaching English again instead of just reading comprehension. Maybe some creative writing too. It comes with a pay hike, it comes with the luxury of actually working in the state he lives in, and it comes with the peace of mind of knowing that the job hunt (for this year at least, next year he might look for something in the same county we live in) is over. He'd rather I weren't so paranoid but he's agreed to not cancel next week's interviews until he gets the offer package in the mail (yesterday was just a call from the county HR director with the offer). I think he finds it amusing that I fret.

He spent a good chunk of the afternoon making calls to local daycare places. Home centers. That wouldn't be my first choice, I like the idea of a larger center where people get breaks and have people who take over during their breaks.. they get sick leave so they don't feel the need to watch my kid while they're all snotty. It is my preference and I know others may vary but that's mine. However, with no confirmed slot available we're looking for alternate options (for the time being or for the forseeable future I don't know, it'll depend on who we like and how much). There are at least three places actually in town who have infant openings right now. We have interviews with them next week. It makes me feel better to know this isn't so up in the air. We both got warm fuzzies off the same one, it's the Wednesday one. We'll see how it goes.

The Big Thing is still bad, but not as bad. I'll talk about it later but for now just know that all the right brains are thinking about it, I am thinking happy thoughts.

ST leaves tonight for A10Yr up at Coopers. He's going to have a blast.

And finally? These are for Chelle. Who I think might burst a blood vessel somewhere if she doesn't see overall bellyshots.

It's not the fun cute round belly that some lucky women get, but it also doesn't hang to my knees and it hasn't come with any kind of accompanying weirdness. It's.. just a baby belly. With a baby in it. Who is about 4lbs and I think most of that is feet. (or maybe that's just the way it feels)

That's it from my end.

I'm so freakin' happy about the ST thing. So happy. He really wanted that and he'd really gotten his hopes up about it and to have that come through just in time for him to relax and enjoy his weekend and never have to do another interview this summer? That rocks.

Hi. I like you. And your hair.

The gorgeous one is on the inside. I'm just the one lovin' the overalls. OMG I MAY WEAR THEM ALWAYS! And sweet jeebus I could use some lip gloss and some eye makeup. But mmmm overalls.

ST was so done with teaching middle school. Especially since he didn't get to teach any creative writing. That made it so hard because it meant the whole year was grammar and spelling and no books. Blech. His last day with kids was the 7th and his last day for sure was Monday. He'll have to go back now just to finish clearing out his room, but that's no biggie and he won't have to get up early to do it. Now if I could get him on a summer sleep schedule so that he stops waking me up at 6am that would be nice.

The bebe, she is due on the 1st of August. But.. y'know.. that's about like saying "I think it might rain two weeks from Michelmas." She's on her own schedule.

Dude, Sid, sometimes it's just downright creepy. Especially now that she's moving a lot. Because when she's not moving you can get kinda dreamy and think "Oh, miracle of childbirth" and all but when she starts moving it's like "Ok, that was a foot." And then you're all "OMG THERE'S SOMETHING INSIDE ME WITH FEET AND BRAINS ENOUGH TO MOVE THEM!"

They do not lie about the hair thing. It grows and stops shedding so you end up with all this... *wavy hands* everywhere.

Also there appears to be a kid in your belly.

OMG WHAT?! Get it out! So I can start dressing it in embarrassing clothes!

Jamie has had a pair of overalls in every single size she's been so far. Overalls are the bomb. And in little sizes, they come with a convenient snap crotch :)

Hm..

Oh and mellies, I totally cut my hair off.
