Whole lotta labia.
I had clients on site last week so I was quieter than I wanted to be. I was also stuck eating out for most of the end of the week, which didn't sit well with my tummy. But they're gone, the weekend company has left, and it's back to normal. *happiness*

The biggest news, of course, is that our anniversary was Sunday. We looked at my dayplanner from last year, we looked at the baby, we looked at each other and Steve said "My, we do move things along, don't we?" We do. We'd originally planned a longer courtship, a longer engagement, but I looked at my life and realized that I wanted Caitlin standing beside me when I got married and that my time for that was limited. Marrying Steve was the best decision ever, but doing it last year instead of this is a close second. When people said "Why are you doing this so soon?" we'd come up with good reasons because it would have been tacky to say "My maid of honor is dying, I've got a limited timeframe here." In retrospect the day was perfect. It wasn't flawless, but it was perfect. Perfect dress, perfect food, perfect people, perfect husband.

A year later? I know I should say "I don't even recognize my life!" but that would be a lie. I totally do. It's like the life I had before but oh, so much better. I still get to travel and dance and play and when I come home I have Steve and Chloe. People, that's perfection.

What did we do for the big day? We had an ordinary sounding Saturday. We had lunch at a burger joint, we went to see a movie, we decided on the spur of the moment to have a drink at the pub. It sounds so normal, but with a newborn days like that aren't so easy so Steve's folks got a grandparent day and we got a day to be under our own steam. Oh, and I bought a car. Yesterday we ran simple errands, slept late, napped, watched movies, and tidied the house. A day to celebrate and enjoy my family. Perfect.

How are you guys?

I'm thinking that the next "party" holiday is a good time to stay home!
