Whole lotta labia.

Yesterday was kind of slow for productivity. I slept in (almost overslept, actually) and didn't get any morning work done. I started on the orange binding at lunch and I love how it looks. We had a quiet night in and so I did mostly hand work. I'll be finished with the hand-quilting on the orange pillowcase tonight. I started cutting the binding strips for Gen's wallhanging, it's going to be an adventure but it'll be great when it's finished. That's all, really. Plugging along in hopes of getting a bunch of in-progress stuff done before the quilt show later this month so that I can buy fabric. Whee!

We had a rough night. Chloe's had a cough for a couple of months now and lately it's gotten rougher and in the last couple of days she's coughing so hard she gags and throws up. Which is just not fun. It's also not fun if you're holding her while it happens and she yarfs chicken picatta and peas down your shirt, but I imagine it's harder for her than for me. Steve's heading in to the doctor's office with her this afternoon. I have my fingers crossed for something we can treat and get over, rather than just another (this would be the 4th) pronouncement that it's just a cough and she'll get over it.

It should be noted that she also yarfed on Steve, so it was equal opportunity. Actually, he had it worse because to make her throat feel better we gave her a popsicle and she ate it while sitting in Steve's lap. Which means that he ended up looking like he was in some kind of weird food porn. She managed to smear it up one side of him and down the other. I laughed so hard I almost peed. That's ok, right?

How are you guys?

I hope they find out something more concrete. Are you running a humidifier in her room?

And please tell me you got a picture of Steve after all that happened ;)

My office is getting all new carpeting and paint this weekend. Also, for some reason my manager and the big boss have decided that if all the programmers sit in one room then they'll, y'know, communicate more and productivity will go up. This means that as of Friday I lose my little room to myself and end up in a room with three other developers. It doesn't matter that I don't share a project with any of them.

Also, the room that I'm leaving will now be empty the vast majority of the time. Also, everyone but the programmers get rooms to themselves.

The closer to Friday I get the more bitter I get.

But... steady job, I like the work, and we got our full expected bonus last week, so I can't complain too much.

Eh, life goes on.

And I seriously don't miss the entire Getting Spooged Upon phase of life.

I am fine AND dandy, thanks for asking.

Sorry to hear TBD is sick. I hate that you have to beat a doctor over the head nowadays to get them to take a closer look. Coughing for a couple of months is too long. I hope Steve will get some better answers today.

Poor little duckie! But I am glad she spread the joy to both of you, just to be fair. <3

I am thinking about party dresses, just because I like them. And boots. This will come as a surprise, I am sure.

Four months is a long time for a cough. Jamie has allergies which we diagnosed as both Mom and Dad have allergies and the Zyrtec helped clear up the issue.

Hope the doctor's visit helps.

Also I gave your copy of "Fool" to Gen. She said she was going to borrow it anyway and that she'd get it back to you.
