Whole lotta labia.
I did absolutely dick-all on quilts yesterday. Monday night was such a terrible night's sleep that last night I didn't even want to keep my eyes open, I just wanted to go to bed. I took my laptop and curled up and what with one thing (Chloe) and another (HIMYM S3 disc 2 which has both Slapsgiving *and* The Yips) it was like 11:30 before we crashed out. I'll get some more binding on the summer quilt today at lunch and I'll work on some more stuff when I get home. I did use my Amazon birthday gift card from my mom to get a needle threader (to thread the tiny but wonderful new needles I found) and a new presser foot with a 1/4" guide on it (so I stop making myself nuts trying to keep it in line by hand). |
Poor Steve got a 2 hour delay instead of a day off, he was seriously irked. Chloe and I ended up sleeping a little later than normal and then running out the door. Even with 4" of snow on the ground I still got to work earlier than I did on Monday. He deserved a day off after running around with her yesterday.
The doctors took another listen at her chest, all is still normal. She's still happy, running, laughing, her appetite, temperature, and breathing are all totally great. So, general consensus is that this is just her normalizing to a big school in the first winter. Apparently all the kids in her class have been passing this back and forth between them for months. I'm now convinced that they're selectively breeding for the more robust strains and that when they've perfected it they'll each bring the disease home to their parents and my whole town will look like the first 15 minutes of "The Stand". Dibs on being Molly Ringwald.
In the mean time we're cutting out some of the later evening dairy just to cut down on snot production, keeping the humidifier going, and loving on her. She did have an ear infection so she's on some antibiotics for that and though she had some coughing spells last night was a lot better than Monday.
Ok, done rambling. Back to the day at hand.
